Bandmaster Jon Bond is a lifelong Salvationist who has attended L’Islet Corps all his life.  He is married to Sarah, who is also active in the corps.

He served as Deputy Bandmaster from 2004 during which time he was also principal cornet. Having grown up in the corps he learnt to play the cornet within The Salvation Army and began as a soloist in 1995, joining the Senior Band shortly after this. Among other instruments Jon also plays Piano, and composes, with Choral Music published in The Salvation Army’s Sing To The Lord journal. He learnt piano and theory locally with Kath Golding.

Within the Corps he leads the House Group, providing bible teaching and facilitating discussions, is a member of the Corps Council and the Pastoral Care Council, sings in the Songsters and helps at the Youth Club.

Jon is married to Sarah and lives in St Sampson with their two cats Milo and Charlie.
