The L’Islet Band is made up of approximately 18 uniformed members of our Corps, who’s ages range from those in their teens to some members who are now 70+ !
The band leads the Sunday Worship by accompanying songs as well as contributing their own selection of meditation pieces and outside of the Corps, the band aims to communicate the gospel through music and with God’s help, to encourage other people to come into a knowledge of his love.
Throughout the year, the band plays at Church fetes, the Liberation service, HMS Charybdis Memorial weekend, open-air Services, Residential Homes, and Garden Parties. During the Christmas period, the band also has an extensive programme of carolling, including residential homes, a hotel, the hospital and outside venues.
